3 Months Old - 8/29/18
Stats: 9lbs 11oz 23in
Eating: Tyler is nursing really well these days and we seem to have a great rhythm going together (finally!). He eats every 3-4 hours during the day, with more frequent feeds in the evening where he will sometimes get formula to supplement.
Sleeping: Tyer is still sleeping in the Rock N Play in our room. He is typically sleeping 4-5 hours at a time and getting up 1-2 times to eat. Things aren't exactly consistent so we never really know how the night is going to go, but we are trying to get on a more predictable schedule.
Likes: being around people, being held, talking, bath time
Dislikes: being alone, being hungry
Sizes: Still fits into a few newborn onesies and sleepers, but is moving up into 0-3 months!
Size 1 diapers.
2 Months Old -7/29/18
Stats: 7lbs 14oz 20 1/4in
Eating: Tyler is getting bigger and stronger and is breastfeeding so much better now. He is getting about 80% breastmilk, either from nursing or from what I have pumped, and then supplementing with formula when he is still hungry or my supply is not keeping up with him. He is definitely showing a preference for breastmilk over formula, and prefers breastfeeding over taking a botte. This is a huge step and major improvement from where we were a month ago! Seeing the progress feels so good and he is plumping up before our eyes!
Sleeping: Tyler is big enough now to fit into the Rock N' Play, so he has been sleeping in that in our room at night. He loves the rocking and the music and sleeps very well in it. He wakes up anywhere between every 2-4 hours, and occasionally makes it 5 hour stretches at night. He takes long naps during the day still but likes to be awake and active in the evenings.
I have been taking Tyler out and about on errands with me. It's been good to get out of the house and I think it's important to get him used to being in the car and going places with us. He is so good and usually falls asleep in the car or if he is in his carseat while I grocery shop. He is starting to show a preference to me holding him over other people, but he also adores his Daddy and recognizes his voice.
Likes: Being held, music, car sides, walks in the stroller
Dislikes: dirty diapers, being hungry, tummy time
Sizes: Newborn clothes and diapers
1 Month Old- 6/29/18
Stats: 5lbs 6.5 oz 18 in
Eating: Tyler is breastfeeding and supplementing with formula as needed. He is strong enough now to nurse more without it being too tiring and spending too much energy and calories. He has been eating 1.5 - 2oz every 3 hours on average. He gets hungrier in the evening and will nurse extra or get a bottle with formula and this helps him to sleep longer at night. He still usually gets up every 3.5-4 hours for feedings.
Sleeping: He is a good sleeper in general. At night he has been sleeping in our room in a vibrating bouncy seat. We tried having him sleep in the co-sleeper and in a bassinet, but he kept spitting up if we laid him flat after feedings. He does better in the bouncy seat because he is upright in it. We plan to keep him in our room until he is at least 3 months old. During the day he will nap in 1-2 hour increments and will sleep in the bouncy seat, in the pack and play or on me while I wear a wrap carrier.
Likes: Eating, being in his carseat, being held, being warm, baths
Dislikes: Waiting for bottles to warm up, poopy diapers
Sizes: Tyler is in preemie clothes and preemie diapers
Tyler is a pretty laid back and easy going baby so far, as long as his belly is full and he has a clean diaper. He seems to be adjusting well to everything that is new to him. He loved his first bath and going on his first family walk in the stroller. He likes to be held, with no preference of who is holding him, but at the same time he doesn't mind being on his own when you have to put him down.
