9 Months Old - 2/29/19
Stats: 16lbs 26.5in
Feeding: Tyler is still eating food 3 times a day, with little munchie snacks in between. Some days he is more into puree baby food we feed him and other days he will eat more chunks of food we will give him and he will feed himself. He is still getting used to textures and solids. He has 4 teeth now, so he likes to chew on everything.
Sleeping: We started sleep training this month, and he has done really well with it. Other than a couple weeks when he was sick with a bad cold and wasn't sleeping well, he has gotten much better at putting himself to sleep at night, and staying asleep. He wakes up on average once a night instead of 2-3 times now. His naps are still hit or miss. He will have days where he only naps 30-45 min at a time, and other days where he will take 2 two hour naps. His naps have never been consistent, but as long as he is happy and sleeps at night, then that's what matters most.
Likes: Crawling and exploring! He loves to be on the move, and he loves music and singing, especially "Itsy Bitsy Spider" "Wheels on the Bus" and "If You're Happy and You Know It". He pulls himself up to everything he can and walks along the furniture, and can walk with a walker toy. He really enjoys lift the flap books.
Dislikes: Getting his diaper changed, having to hold still for anything, getting his nose wiped

7 Months Old - 12/29/18
Stats: 14lbs 7oz
Feeding: He is eating 6-8oz bottles every 4 hours or so. He is more into eating food than bottles lately, but we are trying to make sure that he is still getting his main nutrition from his formula. He likes to eat whenever we eat. He loves puffs and teething crackers, and anything he can try to feed himself
Sleeping: Well, sleeping was getting more predictable and back on track with only waking once in the night, until he got a bad cold and teething got worse. So yeah, we will sleep again someday...
Likes: He is obsessed with his dogs and has to know where they are at all times. At night he won't go to sleep until Karma comes in and says goodnight to him. He loves reading books, especially Goodnight Moon, The Goodnight Train, and the Dinosaur Dance. He knows Patty Cake, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Wheels on the Bus.
Dislikes: getting his nose wiped, having a stuffy nose and being sick

His first two bottom teeth FINALLY popped through on 1/23/19!!!
We had a wonderful first Christmas with Tyler this year! We were able to stay home and relax as our little family of 3 on Christmas day. Tyler was definitely into all the wrapping paper, but I'm sure he will be more into the presents next year :)

Feeding: He is eating 5-6oz bottles every 3-4 hours. He is completely on formula right now and is doing great. We are starting to introduce some foods little by little. So far he likes applesauce, squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, and baby cereal.
Sleeping: Sleeping has been hit or miss. Some nights he will only wake once for a feeding, and other he wakes multiple times. It seems like teething is kicking in hard and that is complicating things. His naps still aren't great. He will have a short morning nap and I usually can't get him to take a good one in the afternoon unless he is napping with me, which I know isn't the best, but honestly by the end of the day we both need it and both are much happier after and sometimes you just do what you gotta do.
Likes: He can sit on his own and loves to sit upright and play. Getting used to being on his tummy and holding himself up. Likes to be the center of attention. He will fake cough to get our attention. He loves to bounce in his exersaucer.
Dislikes: naps, being alone

We celebrated Tyler's first Thanksgiving at Grandma Rosie's house with both sets of grandparents! He had a wonderful time with all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins!
8 Months Old - 1/29/19
Stats: 15lbs 8oz
Feeding: Tyler is eating food 3 times a day, with little munchie snacks in between. He is trying most of what we eat these days. He just learned how to drink from a sippy cup, so I have been trying to get him to take formula that way because he isn't into bottles these days unless it's before bed.
Sleeping: Now that he is healthy and his first 2 teeth have come in, he has been sleeping so much better at night and his naps have even been better! We are all happy about this! He has typically been sleeping from 8:30-4, will have some bottle and go back down til around 8.
Likes: Scooting all over the place! He hasn't gotten the hang of going forward yet, but he can go every other direction and is very close to crawling forward! He loves to yell, chat, and be loud. The louder the better with this guy. We started swim class this month and he absolutely loves it. He is a water baby for sure.
Dislikes: Not getting his own way, not eating when we are eating, not getting picked up when he wants to- basically he needs to work on his patience ;)
